Championing in Sustainable Development Goal - STERF 2023

16 July 2023 - Spending a whole day at MARA Junior Science College Gerik, Perak as invited jury for evaluating a grand finale national science project competition with chosen theme on selected sustainable development goals (SDG) including zero hunger, responsible consumption, affordable and clean energy . A total of ten science projects were selected at preliminary stage and successfully presented at final stage for each SDG. It was mind-blowing with their incredible presentation and pitching skills. Some of the projects have very big potential to be further polished for yielding greater impacts. It reminded me as one of the grand finalists way back 10 years ago when I represented my school, MRSM Pendang at the same competition. Now MARA has changed the program name from Tunas Saintis MRSM Se-Malaysia to Science, Technology, Engineering and Rocket Fair (STERF) to fit with current trend in science and technology. It was such fulfilling to witness the quality and potential of MRSM students. My persistent work on science advocacy to younger generations becomes easier with this top notch students. I am confident these young generations will fill in the gaps of STEM in Malaysia.
