It has been two years with our own initiative finally we managed to meet up physically. Chrysalis Award 2020 was organized by Young Scientist Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia which was fully conducted in virtual platform. The event was sponsored by Merck Group, Malaysia. After two years, we finally graduated, some choose to start their early career in academia and some are in industry regionally and abroad. As PhD graduates from various fields such as #phytochemistry, solar energy, agriculture, urban planning, medicine, stem cells, nanotechnology etc. we learn and share knowledges, experiences, challenges working in cross disciplinary fields thus far. Personally this group is the most #passionate and #positive group I've ever met the same energy and vibes as two years ago. As young scientists, we have high scientific curiosity wish to explore more and more if given opportunity in our respective field. I believe this is a good indicator for future Malaysia. Hopefully the nation will be in a good hand near future.
Flashback to 2020 - Most exciting year
Alhamdulillah. YSN -ASM Chrysalis Award 2020 almost comes to an end. Glad was chosen to be one of the #finalists. As a young scientist, I learnt alot from the series of workshops lined up for us. The initiatives have prepared me to face the challenges as an early researcher better. It enlightens me the importance of #researchecosystem, #science #communication, #grantproposal and many others. At the beginning, I was curious to know where I could find a group of young people that have same #goal and #passion in doing research. This program is the answer. I met another 14 #supportive and #aspiring young scientists from all walks of life. Honestly, with their #attitude and #motivation, I'm more than confident to say that they will be a great scientist in the future. What a bright future for #Malaysia. Hope I can be one of them! Happy to be surrounded with all this #positivity and #greatachievement. It creates such a good germ and vibe.
