Homecoming after a decade - MRSM Pendang

Alhamdulillah. Back to my school, MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) Pendang after 11 years. This time was invited to officiate the Excellence Award Day. To stand at the same rostrum I took a moment to flashback when I was a head boy of the school where every week my #responsibility was to give a motivational speech to fellow friends and juniors to keep everyone on the track in both academic and discipline. After 11 years, here I am again. Meeting familiar faces among line up of teachers brought me into tears. Most of them are in gray hair. I took the opportunity to share some stories of five year up and down experiences in this school as a student and a journey after that. Hope the stories can #inspire the juniors to pursue the dream and the teachers to continue grooming these young hearts. I believe the next 10 years, some of these students will come back with their #success stories to continue the #tradition.

I came one day early to spend some times at the school by sharing some study and working experiences with form five students on pathway to become a #phytochemist. Along with me, other two alumnus who are now a dentist and an engineer to share their experiences. Very #interactive and #engaging. The students were proactive to ask questions and study tips. After all, it was a fruitful session as to give different exposures and perspectives to the students in career selection. Hope more or less the stories can motivate them to study hard for their future.

I spent the weekend together with my old school friends at the school to reminisce our good old time eating at dining hall, walking around classes, academic building, foyer, sick bay, musolla, exam hall, library and sport facilities. Not much changes I guess. Such a dejavu for me. It brought back old bittersweet #memories.
