Alhamdulillah received good news today that the council has approved my application to become a professional chemist by Malaysian Institute of Chemistry or known as Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) that brings a professional title, ChM. Cumulatively after more than 5 years devoting myself in chemistry research in both academia and industry, I decided to become a certified chemist for better research engagement and involvement with the society and fellow chemists.
IKM membership is open to all persons over 21 years old with a recognized pass or honours degree in chemistry or equivalent academics qualification in chemistry or a specialized discipline associated with chemistry and the requisite practical experience.
Hope with this recognition, will initiate more fruitful discussion and research among recognized chemists in Malaysia and abroad towards bringing chemistry profession to where it deserves to be.
