Spray Drying Seminar

Nexus Wise Spray Drying Seminar was successfully held on 15 – 17 November 2022 with internal participations from three departments including research and development, product development and innovation and quality control. The three-day seminar was organized by R&D department with aim to provide sufficient knowledge and hand-on experience to the participants who will involve directly with spray drying technology for generic and branded nutraceutical ingredients development.

As organizing committee in lead, we divided the seminar into two parts – theoretical knowledge and practical application. It was a great pleasure to Nexus Wise when two esteemed speakers from renowned universities had accepted our invitation to give lectures to our participants.

Associate Professor Dr Farah Saleena Taip from Universiti Putra Malaysia kick started the seminar with her lecture on the topic of spray drying in food engineering. Associate Professor Dr Siow Lee Fong from Monash University Malaysia had delivered her lecture on the topic of microencapsulation technology. The third day of seminar – a demonstration day. The participants were able to run the spray dryer led by Dr Sulaiman and his team from Institute of Bioproduct Development, UTM. All in all, it was a fruitful seminar.
